Production Manager

Department: Service and Repair
Location: Warren, MI

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company,  headquartered in Warren, Michigan, specializes in providing world-class service, repair and re-manufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries. 

We have a challenging opportunity for a Production Manager to oversee the manufacturing process within our Electronics business unit.   This individual will be a vital part contributor by integrating our technologies and production processes to meet our customer’s needs.  

Specifically, you must be able to:

  • Be an inspirational coach to 9-10 electronic technicians and lead them to their highest potential.
  • Partner with other business unit leadership to analyze business requirements and assess operational and production needs.
  • Determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning appropriate staff within each phase and element.
  • Evaluate and develop manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials methods.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by testing process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. 

The qualified individual will have the following skills and experience:

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Business; or any suitable combination of work experience and training in operations.

Experience – 5-10 years of experience required; at least 5 years in a production management and planning role within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Must demonstrate a track record of process efficiency achievements and experience with standardization of production and quality processes. Must have an understanding of lean manufacturing principles and project management experience.

Computer Skills –Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel.
