We are currently seeking a Fabrication Manager in Sterling Heights, MI.

The Fabrication Manager coordinates all build, test, and documentation activities in the Sterling Heights Fabrication facility. In this role, you'll monitor strategic measurements such as labor and workflow as well as handle the ISO process as associated with the build facility. The Fabrication Manager should create initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity, establish and reflect an open and productive work environment, and maintain a safe and injury-free atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the build schedule and measure timely performance
  • Oversee shop labor, assembly technician time, fabrication training, and workflow based on production schedule and order acknowledgements
  • Monitor and report on strategic measurements each month including overtime, on time delivery, and applied labor
  • Manage and report monthly expenses including travel, training, shop supplies, and shop improvements
  • Attend monthly or quarterly team updates that may include lunches/cookouts
  • Build programs/incentives to improve productivity and profitability
  • Provide continual updates on certification for the fabrication staff

What We Need from You:

  • 3+ years of industrial fluid power experience
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electric schematics
  • Previous experience supervising functional system testing and documentation
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, time management, and scheduling experience
